This Berkeley bungalow required major structural work to open up the main living area. Kitchen, dining and living spaces were combined and provided with lots of new windows and much improved circulation. A small addition was added to provide a ½ bathroom on the main level. Additional useful space was created with a small garden studio.
We reimagined the kitchen of this classic Elmwood Craftsman home to include a strong connection to the owner’s beloved garden. Floor to ceiling glass, custom cabinetry and a fully tiled wet bath are highlights of this project. Wide plank white oak floors incorporate radiant heat. Details from the owner’s travels and lives include a custom tile backsplash and built in seating constructed of wind felled Acacia from the property.
